In Luke 9: What does it mean when Jesus “sets his face”?

Asked 3 years ago

I'm busy reading the bible, and I came to the part where Jesus needs to go to Jerusalem despite the bad things that would happen to him. It's written that he 'sets his face.' What does that mean?

When Luke talks about Jesus having set his face to go to Jerusalem, it explains just how determined he was, even when he knew what would happen. He knew going to Jerusalem will fulfill God’s plans for him, no matter how difficult it was going to be.
