Why is the Last Supper important to Easter?
What is the significance of the last supper that Jesus had with his disciples? Was it t say farewell? Did they know that he was about to be crucified?

In the last supper, Jesus wanted to give his disciples something to remember him by when he wasn’t with them, the bread and the wine were significant. In Matthew 26:26-28 (KJV), “…Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
He also mentioned something related to his death when he said “Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me,” in Matthew 26:21.
