Summer in Israel is the perfect time to grab your towel and umbrella and hit the coast. If you are uncertain about where to go, Tel Aviv boasts some of the best beaches in Israel. There are so many to choose from, so to make your life a little bit easier, we have compiled a list of the top 4 beaches in Tel Aviv for you to peruse.

Gordon Beach

Gordon beach has a volleyball court for people of all ages to enjoy. It also has a saltwater pool for anyone apprehensive about swimming directly in the ocean. Gordon beach is a very popular spot in Tel Aviv, so it is likely to be very busy.

Banana Beach

Banana beach is excellent for surfing or kitesurfing. Banana beach is one of the less busy beaches in Tel Aviv; however, it still has a bustling nightlife. Clara, a trendy beach club in Tel Aviv, is situated nearby.

Jaffa Beach

Jaffa beach is a very calm beach with not many people attending. It doesn't have dividing barriers like some other beaches in Tel Aviv, so the waves come right up to the shoreline, making this a fabulous spot for surfers.

Jerusalem (Geula) Beach

On this beach, you will find tons of people playing Israel's self'-proclaimed national beach sport - "Matkot." Matkot is a non-competitive game played with table tennis rackets. The objective is to keep the ball in the air at all times. Once you have tired out from playing, you can enjoy some of Jaffa's most famous bakeries right across the street.
