The best bread to pair with hummus is pita bread. The traditional Middle Eastern “pocket bread” is round and about the size of an open hand. Pita is eaten with hummus by tearing off a piece of the bread and using it to scoop up the hummus. Then both bread and hummus are put in the mouth together.
