Negev means dry, in Genesis 12:9, Abraham journeyed to Negev before he later moved to Egypt because of the dryness of the land. It was also one of the areas that were promised to the land of Israel. The landscape of Negev surrounds the dead sea which is believed to have several spiritual and health significance.
