How long does white pine last? Would they lose their needles?

There are many reasons why the white pine makes an excellent choice for a Christmas tree. It also has good needle retention throughout the holiday season, unlike other variants. A freshly cut Christmas tree lasts up to four weeks on average if you treat it right.
