In the Gospels, we read that many women from Galilee watched the crucifixion of Jesus. Some of them say they witnessed it from a distance, while others say they were standing at the foot of the cross. Mary was also there. Luke 23:27-28 talks about grief-stricken women, which could mean that all the women were crying.
