If Israel is known as the holy land, was it mentioned in the Bible, and what was it called?

Israel is mentioned many times in the Bible starting with Genesis 15:18-21 when G_d promises the land of Israel to the descendants of Abraham. And in Genesis 32:28 G_d tells Jacob his name will be Israel. And so Jacob's descendants became Israelites. The land of Israel is called several names in the Bible including Judah, the Holy Land, and Canaan. In the New Testament, the Land of Israel is mentioned in Matthew 2:20–21.
