What does Meschech mean in the Bible?

I like the Hebrew name Meshech, and I was wondering what the biblical meaning behind it is.

The biblical name Meschech (or Mosoch) literally means “He who is drawn by force”. It is the Anglicised version of the Hebrew word, Meshech, meaning, to draw, as in drawing water. In the Bible, Meshech is the name of Japheth’s son (Genesis 10:2 and 1 Chronicles 1:5). Boys called Meschech are often nicknamed Mesh.
