Is Santa Claus related to Jesus?

Is there a relationship between Jesus and Santa, or is it a story that has been made up to please children? If he exists and is related to Jesus, is Santa Claus his real name?

Santa Claus and Jesus were never related, Santa is not even mentioned in the Bible. The name Santa Claus originated from the Dutch name Sinterklaas. This Sinterklaas was a priest in 28AD, he dedicated his life to helping the poor, underprivileged and mentally challenged. He was only anointed as a saint after his death.
